In February 1998, the Simms Building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on the basis of its architectural significance and its role in the history of New Mexico.

Currently, Armstrong Brothers and Paplote Partners are renovating this 45-year old building in downtown Albuquerque. The Simms Building is 13 stories plus basement and parking garage, and contains approximately 110,000 rentable square feet. We own the building and have completed designs for renovations required for compliance with current building codes and for modernization of mechanical and electrical systems. Armstrong Brothers is also acting as contractor for all renovation work, including tenant improvements. This work is 90% complete and ongoing.

Julius Shulman photographed the building in 1955 for Progressive Architecture.
